This group of people became the Unión Mexicana de Corredores y Administradores de Inmuebles A.C. and later they changed their name, in the 70s, to Asociación de Profesionales Inmobiliarios A.C., (A.M.P.I).
Just like AMPI, in San Miguel de Allende a group of people organized to form the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios de San Miguel de Allende, A.C. in the year of 1990.
A decade later AMPI invites the members of San Miguel de Allende to create a section, or chapter, to become part of AMPI and in August 2004 the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios de San Miguel de Allende, A.C. is officially created.
Some of the former presidents of AMPI SMA, A.C. have been: Salvador Moreno, Carlos Fernando Acuña, Eric Cházaro, Erwit Reichert, Graciela Loyola, Gabriel Rubiera and Juan Manuel Orta Álvarez.
The main interest of belonging to AMPI SMA, A.C. is for the training that allows people to become a professional in all real estate activity within San Miguel de Allende.
To be a private non-governmental body that brings together professional persons who provide real estate services in Mexico under our Statutes and Code of Ethics, for the comprehensive training of its Members, dignifying real estate practices and protecting the right of private property.
To be the representative body of the real estate sector, creating a new real estate culture based on professional improvement through the Federal Certification of Labor Competence in the Marketing of Real Estate, for each of its members, achieving national and international projection of its associates.
